Yue Qian (pronounced Yew-ay Chian) is an Associate Professor of Sociology at the University of British Columbia (Vancouver). She received her PhD in Sociology from the Ohio State University. Her research and teaching interests focus on social demography, family and work, gender, health and well-being, and research methods. She has conducted research on North America and East Asia (China in particular).
